Mark Boyd Safaris was founded in 2022 and is a growing and exciting new company based in Nairobi, Kenya.

We are looking for an experienced travel consultant with a conscious mindset to join our expanding team. If you’re passionate about travel and responsible travel then this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team. 


This role will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Creating tailor-made and conscious trips for our clients. This involves consultation by email and telephone with the client and administrative sales support. 

  • Collaborating with our small team and partners on the ground to ensure all details are covered and clients have a seamless experience from start to finish.

  • Delivering excellent customer service at every step and creating bespoke moments on every adventure, building a relationship to create a portfolio of repeat and referral clients.

  • Occasionally working on weekends, evenings and public holidays if needed, understanding the nature of our business sometimes calls for this. This can include attending industry events and communicating with clients outside of office hours

Preferred skills

  • Ideally, three to five years experience in travel.

  • Strong work ethic and sales driven – but driven by good, not greed.

  • Creativity and attention to detail in designing unique and inspiring trips that stand out above the rest.

  • Passionate in delivering outstanding personal service and willing to go the extra mile to make clients happy.

  • An excellent product knowledge of East African safari properties.

  • Self-motivated, and proactive.

  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure.

  • Able to manage workload and work to deadlines effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A positive and open-minded attitude.

  • Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks and willingness to roll sleeves up and support a growing company.

Remuneration 

  • Salary starting from 90,000 PCM depending on experience and ability. 

Terms

Our team is based in Nairobi working in our Loresho office. Office hours are 08:00 to 17:00.
